Mandi, Mandi, Mandi… one of my girls from my time as youth minister at a church in Lake County. I have watched Mandi grow up and become an amazing young woman! She is smart, beautiful and incredibly athletic on the volleyball court.

The beautiful Mom-To-Be featured in this blog is Dallas. I have known Dallas since she was at Umatilla High School where I used to help out during marching band season. Dallas has always be upfront about her faith in Jesus… just one of the many things that makes her truly beautiful! She has a love of life that is contagious! She and her husband were married last year and are now expecting their first baby girl. I couldn’t be more excited for them and their new family. It is amazing to watch God at work in the lives of those around you, Dallas and Stephen are no exception. Stephen in stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas with the Army, where Baby will be born. But, while Dallas was home to visit some family over the holidays we scheduled a quick session in Downtown Mt. Dora. I just LOVE exploring Mt. Dora… tons of great picture spots in the back alleys and lots of nooks and crannies too!
Carrie is one of the most fun loving, life loving gals I know. She is loved by everyone who knows her! She is the mom to the most adorable baby A who was featured on the blog last year. She is also an ahhh-mazing hair stylist and now she is making Josh the happiest man on earth by accepting his hand in marriage! They are adorable together with baby A… just priceless.

2009 has been a year of change for me… learning, growing, exploring, discovering who I am. Not just who I am as a person, but also as an artist. God has blown me away over the past 4 years with this passion of photography. I have been doing some heart searching and here are a few of my thoughts… I know some of these are really silly, but still, they are my thoughts 🙂
I love…
God, more than anything else in the world.
family and friends… they love ME.
photography because I can without guilt.
travel. Really, I want to travel the whole country and see the things that others might seem as mundane and not worthwhile, but I want to see the hidden treasures of the world.
to be creative and push myself to new limits even when others don’t get it.
talking to people and hearing their stories. Everyone has a story to tell, and everyone needs to be heard.
randomness and simplicity.
to hear people laugh… especially kids. They make my heart smile.
capturing the first smile of a newborn baby. That is truly magical.
watching people interact. There is something special that happens when people have their guard down and they are just them- natural.
These are just a few… but it is my goal for 2010 to be the photographer that captures these things in my images. I want to be approachable and simple. I want the images I take to speak through the emotion captured in them.
